Preparation Tips

  1. Master the Basics of Paper I: Since there is no negative marking, focus on high-scoring areas like Data Interpretation and Teaching Aptitude.
  2. Chronological Clarity: For Unit II, create a timeline of major authors and their works. Questions often ask to arrange poets or books in chronological order.
  3. Thorough Textual Reading: For Units V to X, ensure you have read the primary texts (poems, stories, plays) prescribed in the syllabus, as NTA often asks specific internal details.
  4. Practice CBT Mode: Use the official NTA mock tests (available at nta.ac.in/Quiz) to get comfortable with the digital interface and the 180-minute timer.
  5. Focus on “Equi-percentile”: If the exam is held in multiple shifts, remember that results are normalized. Aim for consistency rather than just a raw score.
