The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Mains Admit Card 2026 has been officially released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates who qualified in the Preliminary Examination can now download their admit cards for the Mains Examination. The UPSC Geo-Scientist Mains Exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on 20 June and 21 June 2026 at designated examination centers across the country.

For the post of Geologist Group ‘A’ in Geological Survey of IndiaCandidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized university in one of the following fields:

For the Geophysicist Group ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India and Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics) Group ‘A’ in C.G.W.B.To apply for this post candidates should have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from a recognized University. Acceptable fields for the M.Sc. degree include:

UPSC Geo Scientist Mains Admit Card Out: Selection Process

Phase 2Mains ExaminationCandidates who clear the Preliminary Examination appear for the Mains Examination (Descriptive Type). The Mains Exam is used to shortlist candidates for the Personality Test.
Phase 3Personality Test / InterviewCandidates qualifying in the Mains Examination are called for the Personality Test/Interview conducted by UPSC.
Final SelectionMerit ListFinal selection is made on the basis of combined performance in the Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Personality Test.

UPSC Geo Scientist Mains Admit Card Out: Download Process

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “UPSC Geo-Scientist Mains Admit Card 2026” link.

Step 3: Choose the login option using Registration ID or Roll Number.

Step 4: Enter your Registration ID/Roll Number, Date of Birth, and the captcha code.

Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button.

Step 6: Your Mains Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 7: Check all the details mentioned on the admit card carefully.

Step 8: Download and save the admit card PDF for future reference.

Step 9: Take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the examination center on the exam day.
