| Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications | Applications are shortlisted based on the cut-off percentage of marks obtained in the Engineering Degree (up to the final semester/year). The cut-off is decided by the Indian Army for each engineering stream. |
| Stage 2: SSB Interview – Stage I | Candidates appear for the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Only those who qualify Stage I are allowed to proceed to Stage II. |
| Stage 3: SSB Interview – Stage II | This stage includes Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Personal Interview, and the Conference. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the SSB Board. |
