RBI Officer Grade-B Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)-GeneralCandidates must have:

  • Graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical/professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD if reserved),

OR

  • Post-Graduation in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD if reserved).
  • Graduation Level: Course after Class XII of at least 3 years duration or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Post-Graduation Level: Course after graduation of at least 2 years duration or equivalent recognized qualification.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)- DEPRCandidates must have:

  • (a) MA/MSc in Economics or related fields (Quantitative Economics, Econometrics, Development Economics, etc.)

OR

  • (b) MA/MSc in Finance or related fields (Quantitative Finance, Corporate Finance, Banking & Finance, etc.) Must have minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD if reserved).
  • Note: “Principal constituent” means at least 50% of subjects in Economics/Finance.
  • Desirable: Doctorate in Economics, research/teaching experience, or published work.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)- DSIMCandidates must have:

  • (a) Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in Statistics / Mathematics / Econometrics / Informatics or related fields

OR

  • (b) Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in Data Science / AI / Machine Learning / Big Data Analytics or related fields

OR

  • (c) 4-year bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in Statistics / Data Science / AI / ML / Econometrics or related fields and degree must be from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute (approved by Government/UGC/AICTE).

Preparation Tips:

परीक्षा की तैयारी के लिए Candidates को सबसे पहले Syllabus और परीक्षा के पैटर्न को अच्छे से समझ लेना चाहिए ताकि उन्हें पता चल सके कि किन-किन विषयों से प्रश्न पूछे जाएंगे और किस Topic का कितना Weightage है। इसके बाद एक Proper Study Plan बनाएं और रोज़ाना पढ़ाई करें। तैयारी करते समय महत्वपूर्ण विषयों और Weak Subjects पर ज़्यादा ध्यान दें ताकि Overall Performance सही हो सके।

इसके अलावा पिछले वर्षों के प्रश्न पत्रों को Solve करना बहुत जरूरी है क्योंकि इससे परीक्षा का लेवल और प्रश्नों के पैटर्न को समझने में मदद मिलती है। साथ ही रोज़ाना Mock Tests देने से Speed और Accuracy Improve होती है और Time Management भी बेहतर होता है। पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ Short Notes बनाते रहें ताकि Revision के समय महत्वपूर्ण Points जल्दी याद आ सकें।
