| Educational Qualification | • Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized NCVT/SCVT institutions in specified trades (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic, Wireman, etc.) • OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the specified trades • OR Matriculation / SSLC plus 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering • OR Degree in the above Engineering disciplines is also acceptable in lieu of a Diploma. |

ALP 2026 Notification: Application Process
- Create an Account: Visit the official website of your chosen RRB to “Create an Account.” If you already created one for CENs notified in 2024/2025, use the same credentials. Authenticating your identity using Digi Locker or Aadhaar during this step is highly recommended.
- Fill Details Carefully: Information entered during account creation, especially the chosen RRB, mobile number, and email ID, cannot be modified later.
- Self-Screening Medical Declaration: The online application includes a built-in self-screening questionnaire regarding your physical and mental fitness (e.g., eyesight, no LASIK, etc.). This generates a report you must later get signed by a doctor for the CBAT day.
- Live Photo Capture: Instead of uploading an old photo, the system requires you to capture a live photograph using a webcam or mobile front camera. Dress in non-white clothing and ensure good lighting.
- Upload Documents: You must upload a scanned copy of your signature (running handwriting in black ink on white paper) and your SC/ST certificate (if applicable for free travel pass) in PDF format.
- Fee Payment: Submit the application by paying the prescribed examination fee online via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.
- Final Submission: Acceptance is only confirmed once the fee payment is successful. Keep your Registration Number safe for all future steps.
