Punjab & Sind Bank Apprentice: Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility CriteriaDetails
Educational QualificationThe candidate must possess a Regular Graduation degree in any discipline from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India.
Local Language ProficiencyThe candidate must have good knowledge of the local language (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) of the State/UT from which they are applying. As proof, candidates must submit a certificate/marksheet showing that the language was studied as a subject in Class 8th, 10th, 12th, or Graduation level.
Ineligibility – Post GraduationCandidates who have completed Post Graduation are not eligible for this training program.
Ineligibility – Work Experience/TrainingCandidates having one year or more of work experience/training are not eligible to apply.
Graduation Passing LimitNot more than 5 years should have passed since the candidate completed their Graduation degree.

Punjab & Sind Bank Apprentice: Exam Pattern 

Selection Process DetailsInformation
Written ExaminationNo Written Examination will be conducted for this recruitment process. The bank has not prescribed any traditional exam pattern.
Merit-Based SelectionFinal selection of candidates will be completely based on the merit of marks obtained in 10+2 (HSC/Intermediate).
Preparation of Merit ListThe merit list will be prepared in descending order on a State-wise, District-wise, and Category-wise basis.
Tie-Breaker RuleIf two or more candidates secure equal marks in Intermediate (10+2), preference in the merit list will be given based on age. The older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

  • Step 1: Mandatory Portal Registration Before approaching the bank’s portal, candidates must register on the government apprenticeship portals: Apprenticeship India Portal and/or NATS Portal. You must bring your profile completeness to 100% to generate a valid Enrollment ID.
  • Step 2: Access the Bank Portal Visit the official Punjab & Sind Bank website at [https://punjabandsind.bank.in/](https://punjabandsind.bank.in/). Navigate to the “Recruitment” link on the home page and click on the specific apprentice engagement notification.
  • Step 3: Document Upload Preparations Keep your scanned files ready in .jpg/.jpeg format for images, and .pdf format for documents. You will need:
  • Passport size photograph & live photo capture.
  • Scanned signature (not in capital letters).
  • Left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration.
  • Step 4: Handwritten Declaration Text
    “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
    Step 5: Form Filling & State Selection Fill in your personal and educational details carefully, ensuring they match your official certificates. Enter your NATS/Apprenticeship enrollment ID and specify your chosen State and District.
  • Step 6: Online Fee Payment Pay the non-refundable application fee using online payment gateways (Net Banking, Cards, or UPI). Cash or cheques are strictly rejected.
  • Step 7: Submission & Printout Review your entries one last time and submit the application form. Don’t forget to save and print the system-generated online application form for document verification purposes.
