NABARD Development Assistant : Eligibility (As on 01 January 2026)
Educational Qualification :
- Development Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. (Pass class for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS).
- Development Assistant (Hindi): Bachelor’s Degree in English/Hindi medium with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects OR Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks.
- Common Requirement: Knowledge of word processing on a PC is essential.
- Translation Skill: For the Hindi post, candidates must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice-versa.
Language Proficiency Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the State they are applying for. Those who have not studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard will have to undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
- Note: The LPT is conducted after the Main Examination for provisionally selected candidates. It is qualifying in nature, but mandatory for appointment.

Application Process
Eligible candidates must apply only through the official NABARD website between the specified dates.
- Registration: Go to the “Career Notices” section on www.nabard.org and click on “Click here for New Registration”.
- Details: Enter basic information to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Uploads: Upload a scanned photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm), signature (black ink), left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in English.
- Live Photo: Candidates are also required to capture a live photograph using a webcam or mobile during the application.
- Payment: Pay the application fee/intimation charges online using Debit/Credit cards, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Printout: After the final submission, take a printout of the application form and the e-receipt for your records.
