- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University.
- Candidates who have appeared for their final degree examination and are waiting for the results, or who plan to appear for such an examination in 2026, are also eligible to apply. However, they must provide proof of passing the exam when they are called for the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests.
