UPPSC Staff Nurse Unani: Preparation Tips
- Complete O.T.R. Early: Since it is mandatory to obtain an O.T.R. number 72 hours before submitting the online application, complete this step immediately to avoid last-minute portal issues.
- Beware of Negative Marking: In the Preliminary Exam, guessing blindly will cost you. Every incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.33 marks. Focus heavily on accuracy and leave questions blank if you are entirely unsure, as blank answers carry no penalty.
- Aim Above the Minimum Standard: Securing the minimum efficiency standard—35% for SC/ST and 40% for other categories—is essential just to be considered. However, with only 3 overall vacancies, your goal should be to score significantly higher than the cut-off to secure a place in the main examination.
- Practice Time Management for Mains: The Mains exam is completely descriptive, requiring you to write 5 short answers (125 words) and 4 long answers (300 words) within 3 hours. Practice writing detailed, well-structured medical answers by hand to ensure you can complete the paper on time.
- Focus on U.P. Specifics: The General Knowledge section expects you to have general awareness with a special reference to Uttar Pradesh. Ensure your study materials cover the geography, economy, and current affairs of the state.
