| Tier I Examination | Tier I is the first stage of the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) selection process. It is conducted as a Computer-Based Examination (CBT) consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical). Candidates who qualify Tier I are shortlisted for Tier II. |
| Tier II Examination | Candidates shortlisted in Tier I appear for the Tier II Computer-Based Examination. This stage evaluates candidates’ in-depth technical knowledge of their respective engineering discipline. Marks obtained in Tier II play a significant role in determining the final selection. |
| Document Verification (DV) | Candidates who qualify the written examination stages are called for Document Verification. During this stage, original educational certificates, identity proof, category certificates (if applicable), and other required documents are verified to confirm the candidate’s eligibility. |
