| Stage 1: Written Examination | The written examination is the first stage of the selection process and is conducted in an objective (MCQ) format. | Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) | The PET is conducted to assess the physical fitness of candidates. It includes a walking test with separate standards for male and female candidates. This stage is qualifying in nature, and candidates who fail to meet the required standards are eliminated from the recruitment process. |
| Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST) | The PST verifies whether candidates meet the prescribed physical standards, including height and chest measurements. The standards vary according to gender and category. Candidates who do not fulfill the required criteria are disqualified. |
| Stage 4: Document Verification (DV) | Candidates who qualify the written examination and physical tests are called for document verification. Original certificates related to educational qualifications, age, category, and other eligibility conditions are thoroughly checked. |
