Following the declaration of the MPPSC State Forest Service Preliminary Examination result, the next crucial step for qualified candidates is to appear for the State Forest Service Mains Examination. Unlike the preliminary phase, the Mains exam is an objective-type, OMR-sheet-based test featuring negative marking, split into Section A and Section B. Based on the Mains merit list, candidates equivalent to three times the total vacancies will be shortlisted for the Personality Test (Interview) conducted by the commission. Simultaneously, candidates must pass a mandatory Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and a Physical Endurance Test (PET), which requires walking a designated distance (25 km for males; 14 to 16 km for females) within 4 hours. The final stage involves a comprehensive Medical Examination by a state medical board. A final merit list will then be prepared based on combined Mains and Interview scores to allot services.
