Indian Army SSC Technical 68th Men : Eligibility

Eligibility Parameter	Details
Nationality	The applicant must be a Citizen of India, Citizen of Nepal, or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has permanently settled in India from the specified countries. Candidates from Nepal and PIO categories must possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India. Gorkha subjects of Nepal are exempt from this requirement.
Educational Qualification	Candidates must have completed a B.E./B.Tech Engineering Degree in the notified engineering disciplines from a recognized university.
Final Year Students	Candidates pursuing the final year of their Engineering Degree are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all degree requirements and submit all semester/year mark sheets by 01 April 2027.
Degree Certificate Submission	Final-year candidates must submit their Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the commencement of training at the Pre-Commission Training Academy (PCTA).

Indian Army SSC Technical 68th Men : Selection Process

Selection Stage	Process Details
Stage 1: Application Shortlisting	Applications are shortlisted based on the cumulative percentage of marks obtained up to the final semester/year of the Engineering Degree. The cut-off is decided by the Indian Army for each engineering stream.
Stage 2: SSB Interview – Stage I	Shortlisted candidates appear for the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and the Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). Candidates who qualify Stage I are eligible to appear for Stage II.
Stage 3: SSB Interview – Stage II	This stage is conducted over five days and includes Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Personal Interview, and the Conference to assess the candidate’s suitability for commissioning.
Stage 4: Medical Examination	Candidates recommended by the SSB Board undergo a detailed Medical Examination conducted by the Military Medical Board to ensure they meet the prescribed medical fitness standards.
Stage 5: Final Merit List	The final merit list is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the SSB Interview, subject to medical fitness and the availability of vacancies.
