Preparation Tips

  1. Master Time Management for Sectional Limits Because the 120-minute exam enforces strict sectional timings, you must practice with sectional mock tests. For instance, you only have 20 minutes to solve 40 English questions and 35 minutes for 40 Quantitative Aptitude questions. Build a habit of scanning for easier questions first to maximize your score before the timer runs out.
  2. Focus heavily on High-Weightage Areas Notice that the Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Interpretation section and the General/Economy/Banking Awareness/Computer/IT section carry the highest weightage—60 marks each. Dedicate a large portion of your daily study routine to solving complex data interpretation sets, reasoning puzzles, and reading current affairs to secure these 120 marks efficiently.
  3. Accuracy Over Wild Guessing With a negative marking penalty of 0.25 marks per wrong answer, blind guessing can drastically reduce your final score. If you are entirely unsure about a question, it is safer to leave it blank, as there is no penalty for unattempted questions.
  4. Prepare for the Personal Interview (PI) Early Do not wait until the Online Test results are out to start preparing for the interview phase. The Personal Interview carries 100 marks. Your final selection is based on a combined final score formula: 3/4 of your Online Test Score + 1/4 of your Personal Interview Score. Ensure your communication skills are polished, and be ready to answer questions in either English or Hindi, as candidates have the option to choose their preferred language during the PI.
  5. Keep Your Documents Ready A common pitfall is clearing the exam but failing the Document Verification stage. Candidates must possess proper, valid mark sheets and degree certificates showing they are graduates as of the cut-off date, March 1, 2026. Furthermore, you must provide valid self-domicile certificates or 10th/12th standard mark sheets to prove proficiency in the local language of your chosen zone. Gather these documents early to avoid last-minute stress!
