IBPS PO MT XVI Recruitment : Selection Process

Stage	Selection Process	Details
Stage 1	Online Preliminary Examination	This is the first stage of the selection process. It is an objective-type examination conducted to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. Only candidates who qualify the Prelims are eligible to appear for the next stage.
Stage 2	Online Main Examination	Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination must appear for the Main Examination. It consists of both Objective and Descriptive tests. The Descriptive section includes Essay Writing and Letter Writing.
Stage 3	Personality Test	Candidates shortlisted after the Main Examination are required to undergo a Personality Test. It is a mandatory stage conducted before the interview to assess the candidate’s personality and behavioral traits.
Stage 4	Common Interview	The Common Interview is the final stage of the selection process. It carries 100 marks, and candidates are generally required to secure at least 40% qualifying marks (or as prescribed by IBPS for different categories).
Stage 5	Provisional Allotment	The final merit list is prepared by combining the marks obtained in the Main Examination and the Interview in the ratio of 80:20. Candidates are provisionally allotted participating banks based on their merit, preferences, and available vacancies.

Step 3: Complete the new registration by entering your basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID. A provisional registration number and password will be generated.

Step 4: Log in using your registration credentials and fill in the online application form with your personal, educational, and communication details.

Step 5: Upload the required documents, including your recent passport-size photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and any other documents specified in the notification.

Step 6: Preview the application form carefully and verify that all the information entered is correct.

Step 7: Pay the prescribed application fee through the available online payment methods such as Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or other digital payment options.
