Preparation Tips

  1. Master the Professional Skills and New Laws: A significant portion of your score depends on Part B of Paper I. Dedicate extra time to studying the newly implemented Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (2023), Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (2023), and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (2023). Since you are already in the force, relate your practical field experience to theoretical concepts in Industrial and Aviation Security.
  2. Consistent Current Affairs Tracking: For Part A, read a reliable national daily and follow a monthly current affairs compilation. Focus on governance, developmental issues, and major international events. Regular revision of core subjects like Indian Polity and Geography is non-negotiable.
  3. Paper-II Demands Practice: Do not neglect the descriptive paper. Practice writing essays on security, governance, and social issues in your chosen medium (English or Hindi). For Précis writing, practice condensing editorials into one-third of their original length while retaining the core message. Remember, Précis and Comprehension must strictly be answered in English.
  4. Maintain Peak Physical Fitness: Clearing the written exam is only the first step. You must qualify the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which includes a 100m race, 800m race, Long Jump, and Shot Put. Incorporate cardiovascular training and track-and-field exercises into your daily routine well before the exam. You must also maintain a SHAPE-1 medical category.
  5. Mock Tests and Time Management: Attempt full-length mock tests to build stamina for the 2.5-hour Paper I and 2-hour Paper II. Analyze your performance to identify weak areas, particularly in General Mental Ability where time management is critical
