Preparation Tips
- Master the Automatic Sectional Timers: A unique challenge of NORCET-10 is the strictly timed sections. In Stage I, you only have 18 minutes per section, and in Stage II, 45 minutes. You cannot navigate freely between sections; once the time lapses, the active section submits automatically, and the next becomes visible. Practice mock exams with rigid timers to condition yourself to answer quickly before a section locks forever.
- Shift Focus for the Mains Exam: While Stage I tests basic nursing knowledge and general aptitude , Stage II demands deeper clinical reasoning. Spend significant time practicing case scenario-based questions to sharpen your nursing skills competency, as this will determine your final rank.
- Exercise Caution with Guesses: Both stages carry a heavy negative marking penalty of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer. It is better to leave a completely unknown question blank than to risk losing hard-earned points.
- Ready Your Documentation Now: Do not wait until the last minute. Ensure your NOC is uploaded by March 20, 2026, if you are a government employee. Additionally, ensure your category certificates (OBC/EWS) align with the precise validity dates specified by the Government of India
