Vacancy Details
The PET is only a Preliminary Eligibility Test. Its purpose is to create a list of qualified candidates for future jobs. Anyone who wants to apply for any Group 'C' job in UP in the near future must take this test.
After the results are out, you will get a scorecard. Later, when government departments have job openings (like for Junior Assistant, Lekhpal, etc.), they will announce separate "Main Exams." Only people with a valid PET score can apply for these Main Exams. Candidates with the highest PET scores will be invited to take the Main Exam for that specific job.

Application Modification
If you make a mistake in your application, you can fix it until 24-06-2025. You can use the "Modify Submitted Application" link on the website's home page. An OTP will be sent to your phone or email to log in.
Note: You cannot change your registered mobile number or email address.
Salary
The PET itself does not offer any salary. It is only a qualifying test.
The Group 'C' jobs you can apply for after passing PET fall under specific government pay scales. These are generally posts with a Grade Pay of ₹1900 or more, but less than ₹4600. The exact salary will depend on the specific job (like Lekhpal, Junior Assistant, etc.) you get selected for through the Main Exam.
Selection Process
The selection process for Group 'C' jobs has two main steps:
Stage 1: Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025
This is the offline written exam described in this guide. It is a qualifying test. After the exam, you will get a scorecard with your score. This score will be valid for three years.
Stage 2: Main Examination / Skill Test
When government departments have job openings, the UPSSSC will release separate advertisements for Main Exams. Only candidates with a valid PET score can apply. Candidates will be "shortlisted" (invited) for the Main Exam based on their PET scores, starting from the highest score. Your final selection for the job will be based on your performance in that Main Exam.

Physical Standard & Efficiency Test Details
The UPSSSC PET 2025 does not include any physical standards (like height or chest) or physical efficiency tests (like running).
This is because the PET is only a preliminary written test to make you eligible for all Group 'C' posts.
Physical requirements are specific to certain jobs. If you apply for a job like Forest Guard or an Excise Constable later, the Main Exam notification for that specific job will include all the details about the physical tests required.
