Selection Process for the IFS Examination:

IFS (Indian Foreign Service) में selection, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) द्वारा ली जाने वाली Civil Services Examination (CSE) के माध्यम से होता है। यह तीन stages में conduct किया जाता है:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Prelims)

यह Screening test होता है और केवल qualify करने के लिए होता है| Prelims के marks final merit में count नहीं होते|

Stage 3: Interview / Personality Test

इस stage में UPSC board आपके personality, diplomatic skills, confidence, current affairs knowledge, decision-making ability और overall maturity को judge करता है।

Interview में पूछा जा सकता है:

-आपकी graduation field से related questions

-आपकी DAF (Detailed Application Form) से questions

-Current national and international issues

-Situational or ethical questions

-Foreign policy and diplomacy से जुड़े प्रश्न

यह stage IFS aspirants के लिए सबसे ज्यादा critical होती है, क्योंकि foreign service में personality बहुत important role निभाती है।

Final Merit List कैसे बनती है?

-Final merit बनती है केवल Mains + Interview के marks के basis पर (Prelims के नहीं)

-जो candidates top rank लाते हैं और जिनका preference IFS होता है, उन्हें IFS allocate किया जाता है

-IFS की cut-off generally IAS से थोड़ी नीचे या आस-पास होती है – इसलिए बहुत strong performance की जरूरत होती है

Important Note:

-IFS के लिए कोई Physical Fitness Test या PST नहीं होता, लेकिन medical fitness जरूर जरूरी होती है Final selection के बाद candidates को Foreign Service Institute (FSI), New Delhi में special training के लिए भेजा जाता है जहां diplomacy, languages, international law, global protocol, etc. सिखाया जाता है।

How to Apply for the IFS Examination?

Step 1: Visit UPSC Website

सबसे पहले जाएं UPSC की official website पर: https://upsconline.nic.in|

Step 2: One-Time Registration (OTR) करें

अगर आपने पहले कभी UPSC के लिए apply नहीं किया है तो सबसे पहले One-Time Registration (OTR) करना जरूरी है:

-"One-Time Registration for UPSC Exams" पर क्लिक करें

-अपनी basic details भरें: Name, DOB, Email ID, Mobile Number

-एक strong password create करें और OTP से verify करें

-Login ID और password safe रखें future use के लिए

-OTR केवल एक बार करना होता है और future exams के लिए वही काम आएगा|

Step 3: Apply for Civil Services Examination (CSE)

OTR करने के बाद, आपको "Apply Online for Various Exams" section में जाना है और वहाँ पर Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination link पर क्लिक करना है।

Step 4: Application Form Fill करें

अब दो parts में form भरना होगा:

Part I: Basic Details

-Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, Category

-Educational qualifications

-Exam center preference

-IFS को first/second preference में जरूर select करें (cadre preference)

Part II: Documents Upload+Fee Payment

-Upload recent passport size photo and signature

-Pay application fee (if applicable):

Syllabus for the IFS Examination:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Prelims Syllabus)

Prelims में दो papers होते हैं और दोनों objective type (MCQ) होते हैं।
Paper-I merit के लिए count होता है, जबकि Paper-II सिर्फ qualifying nature का होता है।

4. फिर एक PDF खुलेगा – उसमें अपना Roll Number या Name सर्च करें|

5. उसमें अगर आपका Roll Number PDF में है, तो आप qualify कर चुके हैं|

6. यह सब करने के बाद Result PDF को सेव कर लें भविष्य के उपयोग के लिए|

How to Download an Admit Card?

1. सबसे पहले UPSC की वेबसाइट पर जाएं: https://upsconline.nic.in|

2. फिर"e-Admit Card" वाले सेक्शन पर क्लिक करें|

3. उसके बाद Civil Services (Preliminary/Mains) Exam से संबंधित लिंक पर जाएं|

4. फिर Login करें अपने Registration ID या Roll Number और Date of Birth से|

5. उसके बाद Admit Card स्क्रीन पर खुलेगा – उसे PDF में डाउनलोड करें|

6. अंत में एक प्रिंट निकालकर रख लें, जो Exam Center पर ले जाना होगा|
