Result and Final Merit List

The Commission evaluates the papers and releases a list of candidates who qualify for the Physical and Medical tests. Following the final personality test, candidates are arranged in the order of merit based on the aggregate marks (Written + Interview).

Tie-Breaking Principles:

If two or more candidates achieve the same final marks, the UPSC resolves the tie using the following rules:

  1. The candidate securing more marks in the written exam will be ranked higher.
  2. If the written marks are equal, the candidate securing more marks in Paper-I will be ranked higher.
  3. If a tie still persists, the candidate senior in age gets the higher rank.
  4. If it is still unresolved, the Commission makes the final discretionary call.

After the merit list is released, it is forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs / DG CISF, who issue the official offer of appointment. Selected candidates will then undergo specialized training and remain on probation for two years before officially securing their status as an Assistant Commandant.

Admit Card and Examination Instructions

The e-Admit Card for the examination was uploaded on the UPSC website on February 27, 2026.

  • No Paper Admit Card: UPSC will not send any admit card by post. You must download it from https://upsconline.nic.in and carry a printout.
  • Carry Valid ID: You must carry the exact Photo ID (preferably Aadhaar) that you used during your URN registration to the exam hall.
  • Strict Prohibitions: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and any programmable electronics are strictly banned inside the UPSC examination campus. Carrying them will result in permanent debarment and disciplinary action.

Preparation Tips for CISF AC(EXE) LDCE

  1. Understand the New Laws: The syllabus specifically mentions the new 2023 criminal codes (BNS, BNSS, BSA). Ensure you study these thoroughly.
  2. Focus on Professional Skills: Part B of Paper 1 is where you can score heavily. Focus on your theoretical knowledge of disaster management, VIP security, and perimeter security protocols.
  3. Daily Writing Practice: For Paper II, the only way to score good marks is through practice. Write one essay every weekend and solve précis writing exercises to improve your English writing skills.
  4. Stay Physically Fit: As a serving officer, you are likely fit, but the PET parameters require specific training (especially the 100m sprint and Long Jump). Do train yourself for this.
  5. Mock Tests and Time Management: Paper 1 has 150 questions to be solved in 150 minutes. You have exactly one minute per question. Practice offline OMR-based mock tests to improve your speed and accuracy.
