IPS परीक्षा क्या होती हैं? IPS की फुल फॉर्म होती है (Indian Police Service) भारतीय पुलिस सेवा होती है और यह भारत की तीन अखिल भारतीय सेवाओं में से एक है, अन्य दो भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (IAS) और भारतीय विदेश सेवा (IFS) हैं| IPS अधिकारियों का मुख्य कार्य कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना, अपराध की जांच करना और राष्ट्र की आंतरिक सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना है| यह सेवा संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) द्वारा आयोजित सिविल सेवा परीक्षा के माध्यम से चयनित उम्मीदवारों को प्रदान की जाती हैं|

1. Nationality
-Candidate को भारतीय नागरिक (Indian Citizen) होना चाहिए।
या फिर:
-नेपाल या भूटान का नागरिक (Permanent Intention से भारत में रहने वाला) |
-एक Tibetan Refugee, जो 1 जनवरी 1962 से पहले भारत आया हो |
-या वे व्यक्ति जिनके पूर्वज भारत से हैं और वे Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia या Vietnam से Migrate हुए हैं और भारत में Permanently बस चुके हैं।
-उपरोक्त Special Cases में, Government of India का Issued Certificate जरूरी होगा।
2.Educational Qualification
-Candidate को किसी Recognized University से Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) प्राप्त होनी चाहिए।
-Stream Matter नहीं करती – चाहे Arts हो, Commerce हो या Science – कोई भी Graduate IPS के लिए Eligible होता है।
-जो Candidate अभी Final Year में हैं या Result का इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं, वे भी Prelims Exam दे सकते हैं। लेकिन, Mains से पहले Graduation Complete हो जाना चाहिए और Proof Submit करना होगा।

Step 1: Visit UPSC Website.
सबसे पहले जाएं UPSC की official website पर: https://upsconline.nic.in|
Step 2: One-Time Registration (OTR) करें|
अगर आपने पहले कभी UPSC के लिए apply नहीं किया है तो सबसे पहले One-Time Registration (OTR) करना जरूरी है:
-"One-Time Registration for UPSC Exams" पर क्लिक करें|
-अपनी basic details भरें: Name, DOB, Email ID, Mobile Number|
-एक strong password create करें और OTP से verify करें|
-Login ID और password safe रखें future use के लिए|
-OTR केवल एक बार करना होता है और future exams के लिए वही काम आएगा|
Step 3: Apply for Civil Services Examination (CSE)
OTR करने के बाद, आपको "Apply Online for Various Exams" section में जाना है और वहाँ पर Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination link पर क्लिक करना है।
Step 4: Application Form Fill करें
अब दो parts में form भरना होगा:
Part I: Basic Details
-Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, Category
-Educational qualifications
-Exam center preference
-IPS को first/second preference में जरूर select करें (cadre preference)
Part II: Documents Upload+Fee Payment
-Upload recent passport size photo and signature
-Pay application fee (if applicable):
₹100 for General/OBC male candidates
SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates के लिए कोई fee नहीं है
Step 5: Final Submission and Print
-Final form submit करने से पहले preview करके check कर लें
-Successfully submit करने के बाद confirmation page download करें
-Future use के लिए application form और fee receipt save करके रखें

IPS (Indian Police Service) में Selection, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) द्वारा ली जाने वाली Civil Services Examination (CSE) के माध्यम से होता है। यह तीन stages में conduct किया जाता है:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
यह Screening Test होता है और केवल Qualify करने के लिए होता है| Prelims के Marks Final Merit में Count नहीं होते|
Exam Pattern Structure:
-Paper I: General Studies (GS) – 200 marks
Topics include: Current Affairs, History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science, etc.
-Paper II: CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) – 200 marks
Topics: Comprehension, Reasoning, Decision Making, Maths, Data Interpretation, etc.
-Only Qualifying In Nature (33% Minimum Marks Required) होते हैं|
-Duration Per Paper: 2 Hours
Negative Marking: 1/3rd Marks काटे जाते हैं हर गलत Answer पर| और जो Candidates Prelims Qualify करते हैं, वे ही Mains में Appear कर सकते हैं।
Stage 2: Mains Examination
यह Stage Written और Descriptive होती है, और यही सबसे ज्यादा Important होती है।

“Optional Subjects में कई options होते हैं – जैसे History, Public Administration, Sociology, Political Science, etc.”
-Mains में success के लिए clarity, content और presentation बहुत जरूरी होता है।
Stage 3: Interview / Personality Test
इस Stage में UPSC Board आपके Personality, Diplomatic skills, Confidence, Current Affairs knowledge, Decision-Making Ability और Overall Maturity को Judge करता है।
Marks: 275 होते हैं|
Total (Mains + Interview) = 1750 + 275 = 2025 Marks होते हैं|
Interview में पूछा जा सकता है:
-आपकी graduation field से related questions
-आपकी DAF (Detailed Application Form) से questions
-Current National and International issues
-Situational or Ethical questions
-Foreign policy and diplomacy से जुड़े प्रश्न
IPS परीक्षा में उपस्थित होने के प्रयासों की संख्या श्रेणी के अनुसार निर्धारित की जाती है:
सामान्य श्रेणी के उम्मीदवारों को 6 प्रयास मिलते है ओबीसी के उम्मीदवारों को 9 प्रयास और SC/ST के उम्मीदवारों के लिए कोई प्रयास सीमा नहीं है और PwD के सामान्य उम्मीदवारों के लिए 9 प्रयास होते है और SC/ST के लिए कोई सीमा नहीं होती हैं|
IPS अधिकारी का वेतन और भत्ते काफी अच्छे होते हैं। IPS अधिकारियों का वेतनमान सातवें वेतन आयोग के तहत निर्धारित किया जाता है। इसके अलावा, उन्हें कई अन्य लाभ भी प्राप्त होते हैं जैसे:
1. प्रारंभिक वेतन: ₹56,100 प्रति माह।
2. डीए (महंगाई भत्ता): हर 6 महीने पर इसे अपडेट किया जाता है।
3. HRA (मकान किराया भत्ता): शहर के आधार पर दिया जाता है।
4. टीए (यात्रा भत्ता): अधिकारी को यात्रा भत्ता दिया जाता है।
5. अन्य लाभ: IPS अधिकारियों को सरकारी वाहन, आवास, चिकित्सा सुविधा, सुरक्षा, और अन्य सरकारी सुविधाएं मिलती हैं।
यह परीक्षा तीन मुख्य चरणों में आयोजित की जाती है:
Preliminary Examination:

Optional Subject के रूप में candidate अपनी पसंद का कोई एक subject चुन सकता है। Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Sociology आदि commonly opted options हैं।
यह अंतिम चरण होता है जिसमें candidate की personality, awareness, integrity, leadership, और suitability को assess किया जाता है। यह लगभग 275 marks का होता है

इस चरण में कोई विशेष syllabus नहीं होता, लेकिन इसमें निम्न चीजें आंकी जाती हैं:

2.फिर Homepage पर ‘What’s New’ या ‘Examination Results’ section पर जाएं।
3.उसके बाद "Civil Services (Preliminary/Main/Final) Result" वाला PDF link click करें।
4.फिर एक PDF file खुलेगी जिसमें shortlisted candidates के roll numbers होंगे।
5.उसके बाद CTRL + F दबाकर अपना roll number या नाम search करें।
6.Final selection list में केवल उन्हीं candidates का नाम होता है जिन्हें services के लिए recommend किया गया होता है।
IPS परीक्षा के लिए एडमिट कार्ड UPSC की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर जारी किए जाते हैं। परीक्षा के प्रत्येक चरण (प्रारंभिक, मुख्य, और साक्षात्कार) के लिए अलग-अलग एडमिट कार्ड जारी किए जाते हैं। इसे डाउनलोड करने के लिए निम्नलिखित प्रक्रिया अपनानी होती है:

3. उस लिंक पर क्लिक करें जो सिविल सेवा परीक्षा के लिए जारी किए गए एडमिट कार्ड को संदर्भित करता है।
4. अपना रोल नंबर या पंजीकरण आईडी और जन्मतिथि भरें।
5. कैप्चा कोड भरकर Submit बटन पर क्लिक करें।
6. आपका एडमिट कार्ड स्क्रीन पर प्रदर्शित होगा। इसे डाउनलोड करें और भविष्य में उपयोग के लिए प्रिंट निकाल लें।

तैयारी शुरू करने से पहले सबसे ज़रूरी है कि आप UPSC CSE के Syllabus और Exam Pattern को अच्छे से समझ लें। Prelims में दो Papers होते हैं, General Studies Paper-I और CSAT Paper-II (Qualifying Nature का)। इसके बाद Mains होता है जिसमें 9 Descriptive Papers होते हैं, जिनमें 4 GS Papers, 1 Essay Paper, 2 Papers आपके Optional Subject के, और 2 Language Papers (एक English और एक Indian Language) होते हैं। आख़िरी चरण होता है Personality Test यानी Interview। इसलिए आपको शुरुआत में ही यह Clarity होनी चाहिए कि Exam में किस तरह के Subjects, Topics और Skills की Demand है। Syllabus को छोटे-छोटे Parts में Divide कर लेना आसान होगा ताकि आप Daily Targets Set कर सकें।
UPSC जैसी Competitive Exam के लिए सिर्फ Hard Work नहीं बल्कि Smart Work भी बहुत ज़रूरी होता है। एक अच्छा और Realistic Time Table बनाएं जिसमें हर Subject को Proper Time मिले। Daily Routine ऐसा रखें जिसमें Newspaper Reading, Syllabus Coverage, Revision और Answer Writing ये सभी Included हों। आप चाहें तो Weekly और Monthly Goals भी Set कर सकते हैं जिससे Performance Track करना आसान हो जाएगा। Consistency बहुत मायने रखती है, इसलिए कोशिश करें कि हर दिन कम से कम 6-8 घंटे की पढ़ाई हो।
Preparation के दौरान सही Study Material का Selection Success के लिए बेहद ज़रूरी होता है। शुरुआत के लिए NCERT Books (Class 6th to 12th) पढ़ें History, Geography, Polity, Economics और Science के लिए। इसके बाद Advanced Level की Books को पढ़ें| इनके अलावा Notes, Online Resources और Government Websites जैसे PIB और PRS India से भी Authentic Content लेना चाहिए।
Current affairs UPSC का एक Core Area है, खासकर Prelims और Mains दोनों के लिए। इसलिए रोज़ाना The Hindu या Indian Express पढ़ना आपकी Habit होनी चाहिए। News को Syllabus के अनुसार Categorize करके Notes बनाएं जैसे Polity, Economy, Environment, International Relations etc. Monthly Current Affairs Magazines भी Helpful होती हैं।
UPSC Mains एक Written Exam है जिसमें आपकी Knowledge के साथ-साथ Presentation और Articulation Skills भी Test की जाती हैं। इसलिए Regular Answer Writing करना बहुत ज़रूरी है। आप Daily Answer Writing Practice (DAWP) करें या कोई Test Series Join करें। Answer में Proper Introduction, Body और Conclusion होना चाहिए। Points Format में लिखना, Diagrams, Flow Charts और Examples Use करना Answer को अच्छा बनाता है।
UPSC Syllabus बहुत Vast होता है, इसलिए Multiple Revision ज़रूरी है। पहले पढ़े हुए Topics को Revise न करने से Concepts भूलने लगते हैं। इसलिए Weekly और Monthly Revision Slots Fix करें। Short Notes और Mind Maps बनाएं ताकि Revision तेज़ी से हो सके। Static Subjects जैसे Polity और Geography की बार-बार Revision करें।
Prelims के लिए Mock Tests Solve करना बहुत ज़रूरी है क्योंकि इससे आपको Question Pattern समझ में आता है और Time Management Improve होता है। Mains के लिए भी Full-Length Mock Papers Solve करें ताकि Exam Pressure में Answer Writing Improve हो सके। साथ ही Previous Year Question Papers को जरूर Analyze करें इससे आपको ये समझ आता है कि UPSC किस तरह के Questions पूछता है।
Optional subject का सही चुनाव आपके Interests, Background और Resources की Availability पर Depend करता है। जिस Subject में आपकी पकड़ अच्छी हो या जिसमें आप लंबे समय तक पढ़ाई कर सकते हैं, वही चुनें। Optional का Syllabus Mains के दूसरे Papers जितना ही Important है, इसलिए इसे Lightly न लें। अच्छी Coaching या Topper Notes से Guidance लेना Helpful रहेगा।
UPSC की Journey लंबी और कभी-कभी Emotionally Draining हो सकती है। इसलिए Physical और Mental Fitness बनाए रखना Equally Important है। Daily थोड़ी देर के लिए Meditation, Yoga या Walk करें। Healthy खाना खाएं और Proper नींद लें। अपनी Motivation को बनाए रखने के लिए Inspiring Videos देखें, Toppers की Journeys पढ़ें और Self-Belief रखें।
