Educational Qualification
To apply for the Inspector (Examiner) post, you must have a Bachelor's Degree.
- A Bachelor's Degree is a college degree you get after finishing school. It can be in any subject, like Arts, Science, Commerce, or Engineering.
- The degree must be from a university that is recognized by the government.
- If you are in the final year of your degree, you can still apply. However, you must have your degree result and certificate by the date of 01-08-2025.

- For this post, your age should be between 18 and 30 years The government gives some relaxation in the upper age limit for people from certain categories. This means they can be older than 30 and still apply.

The CBI SI post has specific physical requirements:

To apply for the exam, you need to fill out a form online and pay a fee.

How to Apply
The application process is done online on the SSC website (ssc.gov.in). It has two main parts.
Part 1: One-Time Registration (OTR): If you are a new user, you first need to register on the SSC website. This is a one-time process.
- Go to the official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the 'Login or Register' button.
- Click on 'Register Now'.
- Fill in your basic details like your name, parents' names, date of birth, mobile number, and email address. Be very careful and fill everything exactly as it is on your 10th-grade certificate.
- Create a password for your account.
- Provide additional details like your category, nationality, and address.
- Agree to the declaration and submit the form. You will get a Registration Number and Password on your mobile number and email.
Part 2: Filling the Application Form: Once your OTR is done, you can apply for the CGL exam.
- Log in to the SSC website with your Registration Number and password.
- Find the link for 'Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025' and click 'Apply'.
- Your details from the OTR form will be automatically filled. Check them.
- Enter your educational qualifications.
- Choose three examination centers where you want to take the test.
- Capture a live photograph of yourself using your computer's webcam or your phone. Your face should be clear, and you should not be wearing a cap or glasses.
- Upload a scanned copy of your signature.
- Review your application carefully using the 'Preview' option.
- If you are not exempt, pay the application fee online.
- Submit your final application. It is a good idea to save a copy or take a printout for your records.

SSC CGL Sub-Inspector in CBI Post : Selection Process
The selection process has multiple stages. You need to clear each stage to get the job.
- Stage 1: Tier-I Examination: First, everyone who applies has to take the Tier-I exam. This is a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions. It is a qualifying exam, which means you need to score minimum marks to be selected for the next stage.
- Stage 2: Tier-II Examination: Candidates who pass Tier-I will be called for the Tier-II exam. This is the main exam, and the marks scored here are most important for the final selection. This is also a computer-based test.
- Stage 3: Physical and Medical Tests: The Inspector (Examiner) post requires you to be physically fit. The department will conduct physical standard tests (like checking height and chest) and a medical examination to ensure you are healthy enough for the job.
- Stage 4: Document Verification: After the final result is declared, the selected candidates are called for Document Verification. You have to show all your original documents like your degree certificate, caste certificate, and ID proof to the department you have been selected for (CBIC).

Tier-I Exam Pattern
This is a one-hour computer-based test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be cut.

Tier-II Exam Pattern :
This is the main exam, consisting of one paper (Paper-I) held in two sessions on the same day. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Sections I, II, and III.
