SSC CGL 2026 Notification: Vacancy in Detail
The Staff Selection Commission has announced approximately 12,256 vacancies under the SSC CGL Vacancy 2026 for various Group B and Group C posts. The Commission has mentioned that vacancy collection is still in progress, and updated SSC CGL Vacancy 2026 details may be released later on the official website. The post-wise and category-wise vacancy list will be updated separately after receiving final data from departments.
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. (Desirable qualifications include CA, CMA, CS, or Masters in Commerce/Business Administration) .
Junior Statistical Officer
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II
Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Demography, Population Studies, Operation Research, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer Application, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University/Institute.
All Other Posts
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Tier-Il Examination:
Paper-I is compulsory for all posts. Paper-II is strictly for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) / Statistical Investigator Grade-II candidates, and Paper-III is exclusively for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer candidates. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Sections I, II, and III of Paper-I, and 0.50 marks for Paper-II and Paper-III.

SSC CGL 2026 Notification: Application Process
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR) Applications must be submitted online at the new SSC Headquarters website (https://ssc.gov.in) or via the “my SSC” mobile application. If you haven’t generated an OTR on the new website, you must do so first; older OTR profiles from the previous website will not function.
Step 2: Live Photograph Capture You do not need a pre-existing photo. The application module will prompt you to capture a live photograph using your webcam or mobile device. Ensure you are in good light with a plain background, and do not wear a cap or spectacles.
Step 3: Signature Upload Upload a scanned copy of your signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB), with dimensions of about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
Step 4: Fee Payment After filling out the form, submit the application fee of ₹100 online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay) before 23-06-2026 (23:00 hours). Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and eligible ESM candidates are exempt from this fee.
