Full Information about SSC CPO SI in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), 2025

The Staff Selection Commission, also known as SSC, has given a notice for a big test. This test is to choose people for the job of Sub-Inspector. The jobs are in the Delhi Police and in the Central Armed Police Forces, which are called CAPFs. This test is for the year 2025. This is a very good chance for people who want an important and good job that helps keep our country and its people safe. There are many jobs that need to be filled. Getting this job means you can serve the country and feel proud of your work. The jobs available are Sub-Inspector (General Duty) in the CAPFs and Sub-Inspector (Executive) for both Men and Women in the Delhi Police.

The CAPFs are made up of important security groups. These groups are the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). If you are chosen for a job in the CAPFs, you could be asked to work anywhere in India. Your job would be to help keep our country’s borders safe and maintain peace within the country. The government especially wants more women to apply for these jobs so that men and women can work together.

SSC CPO SI : Eligibility – Educational Qualification, Age Limit

To apply for this test, you must have the right education and be of the right age. 

Educational Qualification (by 16.10.2025)

  • For all the jobs, the main education you need is a Bachelor’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree is a degree you get from a college or university after you finish your studies. The university must be a good one that the government recognizes.
  • If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree and have taken the final exams, you can still apply for the test. However, you must have your degree certificate or proof that you have passed on or before the last date for applications, which is 16.10.2025.
  • There is a special rule for men who want to apply for the Sub-Inspector job in Delhi Police. These men must have a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car). You must have this license on the day of your Physical Tests. If a man does not have this driving license, he can still apply for the Sub-Inspector jobs in the CAPFs, but not for the Delhi Police job.

Age Limit ( 01/08/2025 )

  • Your age should be between 20 and 25 years.
  • This means you must have been born on or after 02.08.2000.
  • This also means you must have been born on or before 01.08.2005.
  • Some people are allowed to be older than 25. This is called age relaxation. The table below shows the extra years allowed for different groups of people.

SSC CPO SI : Application Fee and Process

 

Application Fee

  • The fee to apply for the test is ₹100 (One Hundred Rupees).
  • Some people do not have to pay this fee. This includes all women, people from Scheduled Castes (SC), people from Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
  • You must pay the fee online. You can use BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or a Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit card. You cannot pay in any other way.

Application Process

To apply for the test, you must follow these steps online.

  1. One-Time Registration (OTR): Before you can apply, you must register yourself on the new SSC website. The website is https://ssc.gov.in. This is a one-time thing. After you register, you get a Registration Number and Password.
  2. Fill the Application Form: After you register, log in to the website with your Registration Number and Password. Find the link for the ‘Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2025’ and click on ‘Apply’. Fill in all the details in the form carefully.
  3. Take a Live Photograph: The application form will ask you to take a live photo. You will need a webcam on your computer or you can use the ‘mySSC’ app on your phone. When you take the photo, make sure there is good light and a plain background behind you. You must look straight at the camera. Do not wear a cap, mask, or glasses. Your face should be clear.
  4. Upload Your Signature: You will also need to upload a picture of your signature. Sign on a white paper, scan it, and make sure it is in JPEG format and between 10 to 20 KB in size. The signature should not be blurry.
  5. Submit the Form: After filling in all the details and uploading your photo and signature, you should check everything one more time. If everything is correct, submit the form. After you submit, you cannot make any more changes.
  6. Print Your Application: After you submit your application successfully, you should save and print a copy of the form for yourself.

SSC CPO SI : Selection Process

 

The process to get this job has many steps. You must pass every step to be chosen for the job. All the steps are necessary.

  1. Paper-I: First, there will be a Computer Based Test called Paper-I.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET): If you pass Paper-I, you will be called for physical tests. The PST checks your height and chest. The PET checks your fitness through running and jumping. You only need to pass these tests; there are no marks for them.
  3. Paper-II: If you pass the physical tests, you will have to take another Computer Based Test called Paper-II.
  4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): After passing Paper-II, a doctor will do a full medical check-up to see if you are medically fit for the job. You only need to pass this test.
  5. Document Verification: All your original documents, like your school certificates and degree, will be checked to make sure they are correct.

The final list of chosen people will be made based on the total marks they get in Paper-I and Paper-II.

  • Type of Questions: All questions in both tests will be multiple-choice. This means you will be given a question and a few answers, and you have to choose the right one.
  • Language: Paper-I questions (except for the English part) will be in both Hindi and English.
  • Wrong Answers: Be careful when you answer. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be cut from your total score. This is called negative marking.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

 

This test checks your physical fitness. You have to pass this test.

For Male Candidates:

  • Run 100 metres in 16 seconds.
  • Run 1.6 kilometres in 6.5 minutes.
  • Long Jump: Jump 3.65 metres. You get 3 chances.
  • High Jump: Jump 1.2 metres. You get 3 chances.
  • Shot put (throw a 7.26 kg ball): Throw it 4.5 metres. You get 3 chances.

For Female Candidates:

  • Run 100 metres in 18 seconds.
  • Run 800 metres in 4 minutes.
  • Long Jump: Jump 2.7 metres. You get 3 chances.
  • High Jump: Jump 0.9 metres. You get 3 chances.

 

SSC CPO SI : Syllabus

 

Paper-I Syllabus

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: This part tests your thinking and problem-solving skills. It has questions on patterns, similarities, differences, coding, and making decisions. It will have both picture-based and word-based questions.
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: This part tests what you know about the world around you. It will have questions on current news and events. It will also have questions about India and its neighboring countries. You should study History, Culture, Geography, Economy, Indian Constitution, and basic Science.
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Maths): This part tests your math skills. You should study topics like whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages, ratio, average, interest, profit and loss, time and distance, time and work, basic algebra, geometry (triangles, circles, shapes), and charts.
  • English Comprehension: This part tests if you can understand basic English. It will check your reading and writing ability.

Paper-II Syllabus

  • English Language and Comprehension: This test is only about the English language. It will check how well you know English. It will have questions on finding errors in sentences, filling in blanks (with verbs, prepositions, articles), vocabulary (word meanings), spellings, grammar rules, sentence structure, synonyms (words with similar meanings), antonyms (words with opposite meanings), and reading paragraphs to answer questions.

SSC CPO SI : Result

 

After the tests are over, the SSC will announce the results on its main website, which is https://ssc.gov.in. The result for each stage will be declared separately. The final result will be based on the total marks you get in Paper-I and Paper-II. If your name is in the final list, it means you have been selected. You will be given a job based on your rank and the job preferences you filled in your form. You will then be told which force you will join, like Delhi Police or one of the CAPFs.

SSC CPO SI : Admit Card

 

The Admit Card is your ticket to enter the test room. You will not get it by post. You have to download it from the SSC website. The SSC will put the admit cards on the website of its regional offices about a week before the test. You must download it and take a printout. When you go for the test, you must carry the printed admit card. You also need to bring an original photo ID card (like an Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, or Driving License) and two recent passport-size photos. Keep checking the SSC website for news about the admit card.
