Full Information about HSSC CET Group C 2025

Introduction

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) conducts the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C posts to recruit eligible candidates for various government departments, boards, and corporations in Haryana. The HSSC CET Group C 2025 exam serves as a gateway for thousands of aspirants seeking stable government jobs in clerical, technical, and ministerial roles. The recruitment process includes a written examination and, in some cases, a skill or document verification stage depending on the post.

Candidates who qualify the CET score are shortlisted for specific Group C vacancies as per their merit and preference. The CET score remains valid for a fixed duration, allowing candidates to apply for multiple posts during that period. This system streamlines the selection process, ensures transparency, and provides equal opportunity for all eligible applicants across Haryana.

Group C posts in Haryana come with a good salary based on the 7th Pay Commission, along with allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA). The detailed pay scale for each specific post will be clearly mentioned in the recruitment ads that follow the CET.

Selection Process

While there's no physical test (PET/PST) for the CET itself, remember that for specific roles like in the Police or Prisons department, a physical test will be part of the second stage of selection.

Stage 1: The Common Eligibility Test (CET)

  • This is an offline, OMR-based written exam.
  • Your goal is to clear the minimum qualifying marks to move to the next round.
    • General Category: 50% (50 out of 100 marks)
    • Reserved Categories: 40% (40 out of 100 marks)
  • Your CET score remains valid for three years.

Stage 2: The Main Exam or Skill Test

  • Based on how you score in the CET, HSSC will invite top-ranking candidates to apply for specific jobs.
  • For each job, a limited number of candidates (usually around 10 times the number of vacancies) will be called for this second stage.
  • This could be another written exam focused on the job's specific needs or a practical skill test (like typing for a clerk's post).
  • Your performance in this second stage will determine the final selection.
