This role is physically and technically demanding, requiring candidates to hold a valid heavy or light motor vehicle driving license and meet specific physical fitness standards. Bihar Police Constable : Exam Pattern and Selection Process
Stage 1: Written Examination (Qualifying)
This stage is conducted on an OMR sheet. While it is qualifying in nature, the marks distribution is as follows:

Stage 2:
1.Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
This test checks your physical standards (Height, Chest, Weight). If you do not meet these criteria, you cannot proceed to the next stage.

Chest Expansion Rule: For male candidates, there must be a difference of at least 5 cm between the unexpanded and expanded chest measurements.
- Transgender Candidates: Their physical standards will be the same as those for Female candidates.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
This test is Qualifying in nature (no marks are awarded), but passing all events is mandatory to proceed.
- Running (Race)
Candidates must complete the run within the time limit. You get only one chance for the race.

- Transgender Candidates: The standards for PET will be the same as Female candidates.
- Rule: If you pass the run but fail to meet the minimum standard in High Jump, Long Jump, or Shot Put, you will be disqualified.
Stage 3: Motor Vehicle Driving Test (Merit Deciding)
The final and most critical stage involves testing your driving skills on a Jeep, Car, and Bus/Truck. Your final merit list ranking depends entirely on the marks obtained in this test.
Bihar Police Constable: Admit Card
Once the link becomes active, please follow these steps to secure your E-Admit Card:
- Navigate to the official CSBC website at https://csbc.bihar.gov.in.
- Select the “Bihar Police” tab on the homepage.
- Locate and click on the link titled “Download e-Admit Card for Driver Constable Written Exam (Advt. No. 02/2025)”.
- Carefully enter your Registration ID (or Registered Mobile Number) along with your Date of Birth.
- Input the Captcha code displayed on the screen for verification.
- Click Submit to view your Admit Card, and ensure you print a clear copy for the exam day.

Important Documents to Carry
It is mandatory to carry the following documents to the examination center. Entry will strictly be denied without them:
- A hard copy (printout) of your E-Admit Card.
- A valid original Photo ID Proof: (Such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport).
- Passport Size Photographs: In case the photograph on your Admit Card is not clear, please carry two recent passport-size photographs.
Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates are advised to reach the center well before the reporting time of 9:30 AM. Please be aware that entry will not be permitted after 10:30 AM under any circumstances.
- Strict disciplinary action will be taken against candidates found with mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, or any other electronic gadgets inside the exam hall.
- Fill in the OMR sheet with utmost care. The use of whitener or scratching the OMR sheet may lead to the rejection of your answer script.
- If you encounter any difficulty in downloading your Admit Card, you may obtain a duplicate copy from the CSBC Office at Harding Road, Patna, on December 8, 2025 (between 10 AM and 5 PM).
What Next After the Exam
Following the successful completion of the written examination, the Board will release the Answer Key, followed by the Written Exam Result. Candidates who successfully qualify by securing a minimum of 30% and clearing the cutoff will be invited for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Those who clear the PET will proceed to the final driving skill test, which will determine the final selection.
