Final Merit List

  • The Final Merit List is the most crucial part.
  • It is prepared by adding your marks from the AFCAT Written Exam and your marks from the AFSB Interview.
  • Candidates who are high on the merit list and are declared medically fit will be issued joining letters for the course commencing in January 2027.

Admit Card

  • The e-Admit Card will be issued approximately two weeks before the exam date, likely in early February 2026.
  • It will be sent to your registered email ID and can also be downloaded from the AFCAT website (https://afcat.edcil.co.in).
  • You will not receive a physical admit card by post.
  • If you cannot download your admit card or find any errors, you must immediately contact the AFCAT Query Cell.
  • Mandatory Items for Exam Centre:

Preparation Tips

  • Before you buy any book, read the syllabus multiple times.
  • Solve at least the last 5-10 AFCAT question papers. This will help you understand the exact pattern and difficulty.
  • The topics are from 10th-grade math. Practice is the only way to get fast and accurate.
  • For English and General Awareness, make reading a daily habit. Read a good newspaper (like The Hindu or The Indian Express). This will improve your vocabulary, comprehension, and current affairs knowledge.
  • While current affairs are important, a large part of the GA section is static (History, Geography, Polity). Make short notes for quick revision.
  • Reasoning is the most scoring section. Practice non-verbal reasoning (figure-based questions) extensively, as they are a guaranteed 25-30% of the reasoning paper.
  • Take at least 10-15 full-length mock tests in the last month of preparation. This builds stamina and helps you manage the 2-hour time limit.
