उम्मीदवार ने The Institution of Engineers (India) द्वारा आयोजित परीक्षाओं के Sections A and B पास किया हो; Or
(c)
उम्मीदवारों के पास किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विदेशी विश्वविद्यालय/संस्थान से इंजीनियरिंग की डिग्री या डिप्लोमा हो सकता है, लेकिन भारत सरकार द्वारा (duly approved/recognized) हो ; Or
(d)
Candidate ने Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) द्वारा आयोजित Graduate Membership Exam पास किया हो ; Or

This paper tests foundational knowledge expected of an engineering graduate, including:

Basics of energy, environment, project management, material science, and ICT tools.
Ethics and values in engineering, emphasizing professional responsibility.
Marks for each topic range from 5% to 15% of the total, requiring a balanced preparation approach.

Prelims Exam Qualify करने के बाद आपको तुरंत Mains Exam की तैयारी शुरू करनी चाहिए क्योंकि Mains written paper ज्यादा detail और deep knowledge पर आधारित होता है। आपको syllabus को revise करना होता है, पिछले साल के papers solve करने होते हैं और technical subjects को strong बनाना होता है। साथ ही, Mains admit card भी उसी website पर release होता है, जिसे time-to-time check करते रहना चाहिए। अगर आप Mains clear कर लेते हैं, तो अगला Step Personality Test/Interview होता है, जहाँ आपकी technical knowledge, communication skills और decision-making check की जाती है।
