The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), located in Bhopal, has announced a big job recruitment for 2025.
This is for the Group 2, Sub Group 3 Joint Recruitment Test. In total, there are 454 job openings in many different government departments.
Some of the jobs areField Officer, Sanitation Inspector, Assistant Engineer, Lab Assistant, and Junior Supply Officer. Some of these are manager-level jobs (called ‘executive’) and some are regular staff jobs (called ‘non-executive’).

Eligibility Criteria
Rules –
- MP Employment Office Registration: You must have a ‘live’ (valid and not expired) registration with the Madhya Pradesh state employment office.
- Have Your Degree NOW: You must already have your degree or diploma on the day you apply. If you get your degree after you apply, you will not be eligible.
Education Needed (Varies by Job)
The education needed is different for every single job. You must check the rulebook for the exact post you want. Here are some examples:

Age Relaxation (Getting More Time to Apply)
If you are a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, you may be allowed to apply even if you are older than 40.
| Up to 45 years old: | This is the new maximum age for SC, ST, OBC, Government Employees, Home Guards, and all Female candidates. |
| No extra time for EWS: | Candidates in the EWS category do not get any age relaxation. |
| Contract Employees: | Can get relaxation up to a maximum age of 55 years. |

Application process
You must apply online. Paper applications will not be accepted.
- Aadhaar is a Must: You must have an Aadhaar registration.
- Go to the Website: Go to www.esb.mp.gov.in. You can apply through an MP Online Kiosk or do it yourself.
- Fill the Form: Carefully fill in all your details (name, education, address, etc.).
- Upload Your Documents: You will need to scan and upload:
- Color Photo: Must be new (less than 3 months old) with your name and the date on it. The background must be white.
- Signature: Your signature, clearly scanned.
- Handwriting Sample: You must write a specific sentence from the rulebook by hand and upload a scan of it.
- Proof of Birth Date: Your 8th, 10th, or 12th-grade marksheet.
- Caste Certificate: If you are SC, ST, or OBC.
- Other Certificates: Your EWS, PwD, or contract employee certificate, if you have one.
- Pay the Fee: Pay online using a card or net banking.
- Print Your Application: After you pay, save and print the final application form. Keep it in a safe place.
Salary
The salary is different for each job.
IMPORTANT: Stipend Rule
Please note: For the first three years of the job (your “probation period”), you will get a stipend, not the full salary.
- First Year: You get 70% of the basic pay.
- Second Year: You get 80% of the basic pay.
- Third Year: You get 90% of the basic pay.
After you successfully finish 3 years, you will start getting the full salary for your post.

Selection Process
The way you get selected is very simple and has two main steps:
- Written Examination: Everyone must take the online computer test. For most of these jobs, this is the only test you have to pass.
- Document Verification: If you pass the exam and get a high score (make the merit list), you will be called for document checking.
Important: MPESB only conducts the exam and releases the results. The actual document checking and job offer will be given by the department you applied to (like the Municipal Corporation or the Dairy Federation). MPESB does not check your documents.
Exam Pattern
- There will be one single question paper.
- It will have 200 questions.
- The total marks are 200 (so, 1 mark for each correct answer).
- You will get 3 hours to finish the test.
- Excellent News: There is NO negative marking. If you get an answer wrong, you will not lose any marks. This means you should try to answer all 200 questions.

The exam will be held in two shifts per day, starting on December 13, 2025.

Physical Standards (Height, Chest, Running)
There are no physical tests like running, height measurement, or chest measurement for these jobs.
Syllabus
All questions on the exam will be at a Graduate (degree) level.
Part A (100 Marks)
This part is common for all posts. You must study these 7 subjects:
- General Knowledge
- General Hindi
- General English
- General Mathematics
- General Logical Aptitude
- General Science
- General Computer Knowledge
Part B (100 Marks)
This part is different for each job. It is based on the degree required for that post. The rulebook groups them by “Syllabus Codes” (A to R). You must find the code for your post.
For example:
- If you apply for Junior Silk Inspector (Post Code 01), you will study Syllabus Code A: Biology & Agriculture Science.
- If you apply for Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Post Code 06), you will study SyllVabus Code E: Civil Engineering.
- If you apply for Junior Supply Officer (Post Code 16), you will study Syllabus Code J: Physics, Chemistry, & Maths.
- If you apply for Sanitation Inspector (Post Code 05), you will study Syllabus Code D: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, & Sanitation Inspector (Diploma).
Preparation Tips
- Master Your Subject: Part B is 100 marks. Your special subject knowledge is the most important thing.
- Don’t Ignore Part A: Part A is also 100 marks. It will decide who gets the highest ranks.
- Watch the Clock: You have 180 minutes for 200 questions. You must be very fast.
- Answer All Questions: Remember, no negative marking! Make sure you fill in an answer for all 200 questions, even if you have to guess.
- Practice Old Papers: Find old MPESB Group 2 papers to see what the questions are like.
- Take Mock Tests: Practice taking the 3-hour test on a computer.
Admit Card
- You must download your Admit Card (hall ticket) from the official website: www.esb.mp.gov.in.
- They will not mail the admit card to your home.
- The admit card will be in two parts. The first part has your roll number and exam center.
- You must fill out the second part (with your signature and thumbprint) inside the exam hall, in front of the exam supervisor.
Result
- The final results will be published on the same website: www.esb.mp.gov.in.
- Normalization: Because the exam is held in many shifts, a special formula (Normalization) will be used to make the scores fair for everyone.
- No Re-checking: The results are final. You cannot ask for your paper to be re-counted.
Waiting List: A waiting list (for 15% of the posts) will be created and will be valid for one year
