The total number of vacancies was announced to be 1,298.
- Senior Deputy Collector / Sub-Divisional Officer, Bihar Administrative Service
- Financial Administrative Officer and equivalent, Finance Department
- Block Cooperative Officer
- Block Minority Welfare Officer
- Revenue Officer
- Deputy Superintendent of Police (Newly Added)
- And various other posts across different departments.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. For certain posts, like Financial Administrative Officer and equivalent, a specific degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics was mandatory.
Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025)

BPSC Exam Pattern
The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination consists of three successive stages: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Interview/Personality Test.
1. Preliminary Exam (Qualifying Stage)

2. Mains Exam (Written Stage)
Candidates qualifying the Prelims are eligible for the Mains. The Mains Examination consists of four papers and is generally descriptive/subjective.

The main examination will have a total of 900 marks (except the qualifying general Hindi paper and optional paper).
3. Personality Test/Interview
Candidates qualifying the Mains are called for the Interview.

- Nature: It assesses the candidate’s personal suitability for administrative roles.
Final Merit List: The final merit list is prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Mains Exam (900 marks) and the Interview (120 marks), totaling 1020 marks.

Your final selection will depend solely on the marks you obtain in the Mains Examination and the Interview.
