Step 1: Online Written Test

After the test, the bank will check the applications and papers of the people who passed. They will check if you really meet the rules for education, experience, etc. If you don’t meet the rules, you will be rejected.

Step 3: Local Language Test (LLPT)

This is a test to check your local language skill. It is a pass/fail test.

  • Who does not have to take this test? If you can show a mark sheet that proves you studied the language in 10th or 12th, you don’t have to take it.

  • What is on the test? They will check your reading, writing, and speaking skills.

  • Why is this important? If you fail this test, you will not get the job. This is true even if you get very high scores on the main test and the interview.

Step 4: Personal Interview

People who pass the online test and language test will be called for an interview.

  • Total Marks: The interview is for 50 marks.

  • Marks Needed to Pass:

    • SC/ST Candidates: 45% (22.50 marks)

    • All Other Candidates: 50% (25 marks)

  • If you don’t get these minimum marks in the interview, you will be disqualified.

Tips for Preparing

Focus on Banking: The “Banking Awareness” section has 50 questions. This is the most important section. Since you already work in a bank, you have a big advantage. Review all banking ideas, RBI rules, and recent bank news.

  1. Get Good at DI & Reasoning: These sections just need practice. Try to solve 5-10 sets of DI and Puzzles every day. You have a time limit for each section, so you must be fast and correct.

  2. Don’t Forget English: The English section has the shortest time (25 minutes). You must be able to read fast. Practice reading and grammar quizzes every day.

  3. Take Practice Tests: You must do this. Take as many full practice tests (mock tests) as you can. This helps you learn to manage the time, find your weak spots, and get used to a 3-hour test.

  4. Review Math Basics: For the Math section, make sure you are good at arithmetic (Percentage, Ratio, Average). These topics are also used in many DI questions.

 Admit Card

The bank will not mail you an admit card. You must download it from the PNB website.

  • How to Download: You will have to log in to the PNB “Recruitment/Career” page with your registration number and password.

  • Finding Out When: The bank will post a notice on its website when the admit cards are ready to download. Keep checking the website.

  • Photo: You must stick a recent photo on your printed admit card. It must be the same photo you uploaded when you applied.

Result

The bank will post the results for each step on its website.

  • Final List: The final list of winners will be based on your total score from the Online Test and the Personal Interview added together.

  • If Scores are Tied: If two people get the exact same score, the older person will be put higher on the list.

  • Getting the Job: If you are selected, you will be offered the job. But first, you must show all your original documents, pass a medical fitness test, and sign a 3-year indemnity bond. (This bond means if you leave the job before 3 years, you must pay the bank Rs. 2,00,000).

  • Credit Score: You must also have a good credit (CIBIL) score. It must be 680 or higher when you join the bank.
